The Term Begins

Whooo what a week...between classes and getting signed up for dueling club, I haven't had much time to be up to mischief. I will need to do some brushing up on my dueling. I see my housemates however have not wasted anytime getting into trouble. Cass has developed some new type of candy to trick the first years with and I've heard there's been some mischief in the other dorms. And worst yet, Cass has a Crucio List! Lets just say I'm gonna try to stay off of that!

Speaking of dorms, let me introduce you to my dormmates. There's Ceciley Fortescue, Ariande Malfoy and Andromeda Finch-Fletchley. Together we are the Sultry Sirens of Slytherin. They're all first years so this should make for an interesting term.

Has anyone seen the new DADA professor...he's hott...no wonder Wisteria was hanging all over him.

A New Term Begins

I've recently arrived back at Hogwarts for my second term. It's great to see old friends as well as the first years milling about the halls. We've got quite a full house this term.

I was one of the lucky 2nd year students to be able to get an Inter-House Unity Scholarship. She told me she would like me to be able to experience other houses to spread unity among them. Picking which house to join for this term, however, was quite a challenge. I seriously considered joining Ravenclaw, but I ran into Professor Snape in the hallway. He really wanted me to join Slytherin house and let me know that many of my former Gryffindor housemates had decided to join Slytherin house. Well...I just couldn't resist...I've always wanted to know what the dark side was like.

I'm also on very good terms with the prefect for Slytherin house. Tee hee....I'm sure she wouldn't mind if I caused a little mischief this term.

Whew...What a Trip

Well I've safely made it back from Italy. My bottom was quite tired and sore from the long trip on my broomstick, but it was well worth it. I completed my muggle marathon, was one of the last few people to finish, but I finished it and that's all that matters. And when I got back to Hogwarts a few days ago, look at what was waiting for me:

An owl had come for me while I was gone, delivering my swap package from my partner. I quickly opened it up and found inside...

There were all sorts of great goodies in there: 2 patterns (including one for a toe-up sock I've been wanting to try), 2 skeins Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock in Flame (one of my favoritest sock yarns), some beautiful handmade stitch markers, a set of KnitPicks Harmony Wood DPNs, some Bertie Botts Beans and various other types of goodies :-). And it all came in a French Market Bag. Thanks so much Ferula, it was a great suprise to come home to and I absolutely love it!

Another Week Gone By...

I can't believe I'll be flying off on my broomstick next Wednesday to Italy where I'll be completing my first muggle marathon. I've come a long way since last November when I started off training at 2 miles. I made my way up to 22 miles and on race day it'll be 26.2! And no, I won't be using any magic to help me in the race. I will compete just as all the muggles do, by using my good ol' legs. Wish me luck!
