I'm doing my homework early...see...not procrastinating...

1. Are you a sock knitter? What are your foot measurements?
Oh am I, a big one, most of my stash is sock yarn and I love getting more. I usually knit the foot of my socks 9 inches long, from heel to toe. And my foot circumference is about 9 inches I believe. I've got a fat foot.

2. Do you have a yarn winder and/or swift?
I have both and I love and use them all the time.

3. Where/how do you keep your needles/hooks?
Ummm...yeah that could probably be better...right now I just keep them in a little plastic drawer like thing I bought at the Container Store.

4. Do you collect anything?
You mean besides yarn? Umm...no not really.

5. What is your favorite type of music? Are you MP3 ready?
Honestly, I don't have a favorite. I listen to everything...and I really mean everything. And yes, I'm MP3 ready, I have an iPhone.

6. Do you like sweets? What are your favorites?
I looooove sweets! My all time favorites are Jelly Belly Jelly Beans but I love dark chocolate too. Any type of dark chocolate makes me happy.

7. What is your living situation like? Any pets? Children?
I live in a little apartment with my boyfriend. No pets, no kids.

Picture Day!

Today is picture day! That's me in the center. This photo was taken in Italy back in March. The others in the photo are my coaches and 2 of my teammates. We were there for one of those muggle marathons. The picture was taken outside of the Maratona Expo, where we picked up our race bibs. It was an awesome trip and I wish I could've spent more time and seen more of Italy, but work called me back home to the states...maybe I should move to Italy...

Wow the teachers are really laying it on with the homework already. Here's my 1st house quiz:

1. Do you knit and/or crochet
Both

2. How long have you been at your craft?
Knitting, 5-6 years/Crochet....um a long time (since I was a kid)

3. Do you spin?
Yes a little, not very well yet

4. What type of spinning do you do (drop spindle or wheel)?
Drop spindle mostly (its portable), some wheel

5. Are there any other crafts that you participate in?
Oh I dye yarn and I dabble in some beading

6. What are your favorite yarns/fibers?
Anything that's super soft, merino, silk, wool, any blends of these, oooh oooh and alpaca

7. What are your LEAST favorite yarns/fibers?
I'm not too big on mohair, mohair and I don't usually get along too well

8. Are there any types/brands of yarn that you are dying to work with but haven’t gotten a chance?
I love fiber artists and indie dyers, and I love being introduced to new ones.

9. What are your favorite types of projects to knit/crochet?
Socks! But I also love anything that's fashionable

10. What are you currently working on?
What am I not working on, I've got socks going on, a scarf, soon to start another scarf, a sweater that needs to be finished

11. Anything you plan to start this autumn?
A sweater for my mom for Christmas, at the rate I've been going it'll take me all fall

12. What is your favorite Finished Object? (Please, post a picture if you would like.)
Hmmm...its gotta be one of my pairs of socks. Lemme go find a picture and I'll put it up.

13. Are their any knitting/crochet techniques that you would like to learn?
Intarsia in the round, but I'll be taking a class for that at Stitches East, otherwise I can't think of one.

Is there a brand that you are dying to try?: I've recently started knitting socks 2 at a time, so I would love to have some KnitPicks Fixed Circular needles in a 40" size to start my needle collection for this type of sock knitting.
